Even more good news everyone!

We're glad to announce another chapter in our coöperation with Sapphire; the Sapphire EURO Challenge!

The coming weeks gamers from Counter-Strike:Source, Quake live, Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will battle it out on the virtual battleground for a whooping £2,000.

Speaking of the battlefield, wouldn't you like a pair of extra eye's on each side?

Well these extra pairs of eyes may not be as expensive as you think:
The truth is it doesn't require a 5970, 5870 or 5850 to play the latest games across 3 monitors. A card like the Sapphire HD5770 or HD5670 will do the job at the highest resolutions. With Sapphire mainstream graphics you can do a plethora of really useful things to improve your computing experience. These include experiencing real innovation in DirectX® 11 gaming, expanding your visual real estate across up to three displays enabling you to get lost in the action or improve your overall desktop experience with ordinary applications and tackle demanding tasks like video transcoding with incredible speed.

In the coming days we'll announce the first 2 games to run their EURO challenge, so stay tuned!

Heaven Media are proud to announce "The Alienware Backpacking Challenge", a two-month competition that will see four gamers, selected from hopeful applicants from across Europe, to travel all over the continent.

Kitted out with an Alienware M11x laptop, a video camera, and a set of camping equipment, the four lucky participants will blog their way over mountains and seas, crossing borders and time zones, completing challenges before going up against each other in a weekly public vote.

With thousands of hopefuls expected to apply, competition will be fierce among the budding bloggers, and in the Alienware M11x they will find the perfect partner, providing the latest laptop technology in a stylish eleven-inch package, ideal for the long road ahead.

Ever wondered how many countries it’s possible to visit in a day on a budget? The best way to enjoy a high-adrenaline session of gaming while travelling at 300kmh, or while looking up to the heavens at an altitude of 3,500 feet? Wonder no more! For the entire two-month period, the four contestants will be blogging, video-blogging, tweeting and uploading pics, all hosted on their own individual site within the competition web site.

As each week goes past, everyone at home following their journeys will be asked to vote on that week’s winner, based on performance in the challenges, imagination and creativity, and blogging talent among other criteria. But these votes aren’t just for a weekly pat on the back. When the four meet up at the end of the eight weeks, at GamesCom in Cologne, only one of them can be crowned the Alienware Backpacker of the Year 2010, taking home the cash prize of $5,000!

Kicking off at Disneyland Paris, during the Electronic Sports World Cup, the bloggers will be released into the wild on June 30th, having received their first challenge, giving them until August 22nd to win the public over to their side.

Welcome to the online qualifiers for the LAN79 event that will be held in Bressuire, France during the weekend of 14,15 and 16 May 2010. This online qualifier has been set up in cooperation with the LAN79 management and gives you the opportunity to win free entry for you and your team mates into the LAN79 offline event and the Call of Duty 4 or Counter-Strike Source competition. Teams that have already paid their entry fee also have a chance to win back their money should they win the qualifier.

Although the tournament is open to all, we would like to stress that teams entering this online qualifier should have every intention to attend the offline event. To guarantee this we ask that the team leaders of the teams comment on the following news post with the following information:

I, xxx (your name here) of team xxx (your team here) hereby declare that we have signed up for the LAN79 CSS/COD4 ( pick your game ) online qualifier and have every intention to attend the offline event should we win this online qualifier.

Our admin team will take everything into consideration and will judge all applications. We hold the right to refuse anyone entry into the tournament should we feel that your team will most likely not enter the offline event.

Boojja has won the second Quake Live One Night Wonder here on Esports Heaven after defeating adrian in the finals 3-1. We decided to go with a slightly different format for this tournament as we allowed only 16 slots to be filled but ran the entire tournament in a BO3 format with the finals being BO5.

Norwegian player boojja managed to come out on top in the end, beating Swedish player adrian with a clear cut 3-1 score after going to the finals without a map lost.
