Due to receiving complaints against a certain team, we've decided to put the Western Digital Challenge COD4 on hold. The tournament will resume once the conflicts have been resolved. I can only apologise to those teams that have been waiting and hope that these situations go a lot more smoother next time.

Vita Nova are happy to announce another series of #cod.academy cups hosted on Esports Heaven.

After making it quite clear they wanted something to improve in some time ago, the community were granted it's wish a few days ago when Vita Nova took it upon themselves to launch a new IRC channel called #cod.academy. Vita Nova will now be hosting a number of 1 night cups throughout the next 2 weeks that will come to a dramatic climax with one lucky team being accepted into #cod.preinvite on a permanent basis.

Here is the schedule for the cups which will take place on Esports Heaven:

- Sunday 4th July 18.00GMT - 1 night cup for 16 team
- Monday 5th July 18.00 GMT - 1 night cup for 16 teams
- Wednesday 7th July 18.00 GMT - 1 night cup for 16 teams
- Thursday 8th July 18.00 GMT - 1 night cup for 16 teams
- Wednesday 14th July 18.00 GMT - Finals Night

All cup schedules including maps are within each tournament news post

The cup rules can be found over at the tournament page.

- The 2 finalists from each cup will qualify for the finals night and the winner of each final will become a high seed whilst the loser will become a low seed.
- Finals Night will be contested by the 8 teams that have qualified from the 4 cups and the winner of the overall final will book their place in #cod.preinvite.
- You can play in as many cups as you want, that is unless you have already qualified in for the finals night.
- #cod.academy teams only – NO exceptions.
- Single Elimination Brackets throughout.
- All teams must be on #esportsheaven or #cod.academy during the cup.

We are in the process of confirming shoutcasters for the event and will update this post as soon as everything is sorted.

That's right, the Corsair SSD Challenge is coming to an end. We'll see Team YoYotech go up against The Imperial, both teams have played amazing throughout knocking out some of the top teams. Although a time/date is yet to be set, NGTV will be streaming the final.

Due to BrianPeppers and delirious being accepted into preinvite, they are no longer allowed to participate in the academy cup final. For this reason, we have given teams another chance to battle it out for the final 2 spots.

Although this is on short notice, the cup will be hosted on Thursday 10th June, with recent academy activity we expect this cup to fill up very fast. We will be looking at increasing the cup size if activity continues to grow.

The finals will now be played on Sunday 13th June. More information regarding the final will be made closer to the time.

As for the cup schedule, it'll be the same as Cup#4. Details below.
